Biography


            She graduated in 2002 with honours from the Academy of Music in Bydgoszcz, from the Vocal and Actors’ Departament in the solo singing class of professor Brygida Skiba. Between 2000-2001 she held a grant from the Minister of Culture and Art (Poland) and in 2002 a grant from Governor of the Kujawy-Pomerania Voivodship.

       As a student she sang in many concertsof chamber, symphony music, as well as in operatic performansces (the Countess in Mozart’s „The Marriage of Figaro” and Pamina in „The Magic Flute”) and operetta (Rosalinde in J. Strauss’s „Die Fledermaus”). In 2002 she performed the soprano solo in W.A. Mozart’s „Requiem”, conducted by Z.Rychert, at the Pomeranian Philharmonic. Since 1999 she has been taking part in numerous master courses conducted by distinguished singers such as Maria Fołtyn, Ryszard Karczykowski, Helena Łazarska, Fedora Barbieri, Jadwiga Rappe, R.Werliński, B. Makal Jadwiga Rappe or Bożena Betley.

       Having finished the studies she performs actively, participates in different music enterprises, both chamber and symphonic, cooperating with different music institutions. She also sang in many concerts of light music.She has appeared on many music stages in Poland with recitals of chamber music.

       For a number of years now she has been attached to the F. Nowowiejski Warmia and Masuria Philharmonic in Olsztyn.
She has in her repertoire many songs by Polish and foreign composers, opera and operetta arias, and songs from musicals. She has also been the first to perform songs.

Moreover, Ewa Alchimowicz-Wójcik is working as a teacher of solo singing and vokal emission at the State College of Music in Olsztyn and at the A. Sewruk Postgraduate Acting School in Olsztyn.
